I enjoyed the experience that Hamilton College gave me, it set me up for life outside the school. I made a lot of friends and got on very well with all my teachers. As a keen swimmer I loved the pool, I think my favourite part of the school was the P.E department.

Scottish Council of Independent Schools

The Scottish Council of Independent Schools acts as an umbrella body for the sector in Scotland.  It can provide advice for parents on a wide range of issues.

The key aims of the Scottish Council of Independent Schools (SCIS) are to provide information, advice and guidance to parents; advance education via curriculum development and the training of teachers; advise member schools and their governing bodies about educational developments and legislation affecting independent schools (e.g. education, taxation, welfare, health and safety); and to communicate and negotiate with the Scottish Parliament, the Government, public and private bodies on behalf of the independent sector.
