To provide a stimulating and caring environment where children can safely develop confidence and self esteem, with growing independence.
To encourage children to form positive attitudes towards others. To accept their qualities of sameness and difference including gender, race, culture, faith and abilities.
To provide learning opportunities, which build on children's previous experience and take account of their individual needs.
To include parents in this process, in recognition of the vital contribution they make to their child's educational development.
To provide a planned curriculum with specific objectives which will provide an excellent grounding for school.
To maintain a balance between child-directed and teacher-supported activities.
To use play as the stimulus for children to develop and learn whilst having fun.
