In 5th and 6th year particularly there were many opportunities to take part in extra-curricular activities such as First Aid, Friend in S6 and Duke of Edinburgh. This has given me many skills which I'm sure will continue to prove useful.

Business Studies & Computing

Welcome to the Business & Computing Department.

The Business & Computing department at Hamilton College teaches a wide and varied curriculum for pupils in the senior school. The department has close links to the Technology department with both departments coming together to deliver Innov8 in S1 and S2, supporting the technologies and some of the social subjects (business) outcomes of a Curriculum for Excellence. From S3 onwards pupils can chose the discreet subjects of Business Management (National 4/5 then Higher) and/or Computing Science (National 4/5 then Intermediate 2/Higher Information Systems). All courses delivered by the department are on Moodle, the schools virtual learning environment. Pupils are encouraged to use their own initiative and make links to the real world of business and computing which culminate as part of a project.
