It was a great honour and privilege being Head Girl of Hamilton College. It was definitely the highlight of my school career. I enjoyed having the unique and valuable opportunity to be in the position to have a positive influence on the workings of the school.

S1 & S2 History

S1

History is taught for 2 periods a week and looks at a variety of topics.
The main topics are The History Detective and Archaeology, Ancient Egypt, Aid and the Developing World ( Modern Studies) and Scotland in the time of Wallace and Bruce.

S2

The main topics taught in S2 are Mary Queen of Scots, the Mock election ( Modern Studies), Slavery through the ages and the Age of Revolutions.
In S1 and 2 students will have to complete investigations, watch DVDs, use the internet, make posters, write speeches and make presentations to their peers.
