The art teachers really took time to get to know me and my strengths and weaknesses as an art student, they gave me lots of encouragement and pushed me to get the best out of me. Without them I would never have gone to Art School.

S1 & S2 Music

S1 & S2

The music curriculum is underpinned by the idea of developing three aspects of musicianship; Performing, Inventing, Listening. Therefore pupils will experience a wide range of opportunities to do topic related work which embraces all 3 skills.

In particular they will focus on individual instrumental skills, classroom group performance, and composing/improvising short pieces of music. They will also learn concepts and terminology and be able to recognise these in music which they hear.
