Principal Teacher of Guidance

Hamilton College is more than a school - it is a journey - a journey in education, in developing talents and gifts and in creating self-belief. Hamilton College is a non-denominational Christian independent school for children and young people from the ages of 2-18. The school encompasses Nursery, Junior, Middle and Upper levels generating a truly 'family' atmosphere for the individual as they journey through the school.

Hamilton College seeks to appoint a passionate, inspirational and aspirational leader to lead the pastoral team and a House to take up the position of Principal Teacher of Guidance from August 2025.

We welcome applications from experienced teachers who are GTCS registered for secondary education, and it would be desirable for applicants to teach English, German or French.

Early Years Practitioner - Full-Time, All-Year Round

An opportunity has arisen for an Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant Nursery. The successful candidate should be able to interact effectively with children and work successfully within a small team. We are looking for applicants who can show initiative and independence of thought and action, within the school’s policy framework.

A qualification in Early Years is essential. This may be an SCQF 6 – 9, SVQ Level 3, HNC or other equivalent qualification.

The ability to communicate well with our parents, carers, and staff and being supportive of the ethos of the College are essential for the post.

Early Years Support Assistant - Part-Time, Full-Time, All-Year Round

An opportunity has arisen for Early Years Support Assistant to join our vibrant Nursery. The successful candidate should be able to interact effectively with children and work successfully within a small team.

We are looking for candidates who have the following skills and knowledge:

· There is a requirement to be registered with SSSC

· Good basic education and standard of Maths and English to SQA standard grade level or equivalent, or previous relevant experience

· Good communication skills – verbal and written

· Good planning and organisational skills

· Be child focused and have ability to acquire and apply the necessary knowledge within the setting about the learning and care needs of all children 2-5 years including those with additional support needs.
