Covid Changes from 28 February 2022 Hamilton

Updated Procedures from Monday 28 February 2022 

As of Monday 28 February the following changes will be made to the running of the School day at Hamilton College: 

Updated Senior School Timetable 

Registration 0900-0905 

Period 1 0905-0945 

Period 2 0945-1025 

Period 3 1025-1105 

Break 1105-1120 

Period 4 1120-1200 

Period 5 1200-1240 

Form/Assembly 1240-1300 

Lunch 1300-1345 

Period 6 1345-1425 

Period 7 1425-1505 

Period 8 1505-1545 

There will now be one break time in Senior School and School Assemblies will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

Face Coverings - Senior School 

There will be no requirement for learners to wear face coverings in classrooms, however, face coverings must be worn in the corridors, dining hall or when in close contact with others. Face coverings will be required in Assemblies. 

Entrance to School 

All Senior School pupils will now arrive through the front door and will report to the Dining Hall before the start of the school day. 

All Junior School pupils will continue to arrive through the green gate into the playground. 

End of the School Day - Junior School & Nursery 

The current restrictions on parents accessing the Nursery Car Park have now been lifted, therefore, Nursery parents will be able to access the Nursery Car Park from 0800 to 1800. 

J1 - J3 parents will need to pick up their child from the side door rather than waiting at the top carpark. We ask parents to continue to wear a face covering once exiting their car and remain at a 1m distance from others.  

The use of the path by adults and learners can revert to being a 2 way system again rather than walking back up to the carpark via the driveway. Please note, teachers will only pass a J1 - J3 child into the hands of a parent or an adult that has been previously advised to the teacher as an alternative arrangement.  

J4 - J6 learners will access the top carpark via the same path after being dismissed from the building by their class teacher. 

One-way system 

The one-way system will now be removed outside the building, but will remain inside.

Toilets 

There is no requirement for the toilets to have the one-in-one-out system in place. 

Dining Hall 

Staff are now permitted to have their lunch with the learners in the Dining Hall.
